The following are eligible to register for an AFNHB scheme in the order of priority and sub-priority as given below:
Priority-I: Widows of Air Force and Naval personnel who die in action/harness.
Priority-II: Serving and re-employed Permanent Commissioned Officers, Airmen and Sailors with no prior allotment.
Priority-III: Widows of retired personnel with family pension, retired personnel with pension/disability pension.
Priority-IV: Serving/retired personnel already allottees, and AFNHB staff (restrictions apply).
Medical/dental officers must have contributed to AFGIS/NGIF for at least 10 years and not own an AWHO DU.
Serving Officers/PBORs: Application form duly countersigned by CO/HOD and photos of self & nominee.
Retired officers/widows/Retired PBORs: Application form with photos of self & nominee and photocopy of PPO.
Demand survey: Financial commitment taken prior to launching to assess interest. Registrants get priority for first draw.
General scheme: Launched after land acquisition; no prior demand survey. Draw by priority as per Master Brochure.
The Board does not have any land bank. All the schemes are based on the Census or Demand Survey and are launched on Self Financed “No Profit No Loss” basis.
As a general rule only one. You may again apply for undersubscribed/diluted schemes as per Master Brochure. Priority IV = allottees of any previous scheme.
Yes, but you will be considered at one place only. If allotted in one, others are not considered (unless diluted). Admin charges are separate per scheme.
Send by registered/speed post only. Civilian couriers not allowed inside Air Force Station.
Generally 4 categories: 2 for Officers, 2 for PBORs. May vary per project. Officers/PBORs apply for their respective categories.
Allottees are not permitted to changeover to another scheme. Within the same scheme, mutual exchange possible only once before possession letter.
Change is permitted within same category if vacancy exists. Equalization charges may apply for upgrades. Only cost difference for downgrade.
You must apply afresh and will be treated as a new registrant. No seniority benefit.
No interest for voluntary withdrawals or delay. If scheme is shelved, savings bank interest is paid.
Savings bank interest for waitlist withdrawal. Refund usually takes 7-10 days after application.
Census is a planning tool, not a guarantee. Land is sought from State/Local agencies. If not available, private land/turnkey may be considered.
Yes, as per contractual terms and conditions.
5% of anticipated cost as DS. 10% forfeited before allotment. 50% forfeited after allotment. See Master Brochure for details.
