Withdrawls Procedure
 
Since the Dwelling Units are being constructed based on the demand of the allottees, withdrawals can be permitted only if a waiting list exists and the waitlisted allottee steps in to the vacancy likely to be created by a withdrawal.

Withdrawals and Cancellation or Termination Procedure ::

The following procedure is prescribed for withdrawal and cancellation or termination of membership from any of the AFNHB Schemes:-

(a)     Registrant wishing to withdraw from a Scheme, should submit a written application along with Proforma of Withdrawal and Pre-receipt (Appendices D and E) to the Director General, Air Force Naval Housing Board quoting his or her registration number of the Scheme from which one wishes to withdraw. The day of receipt of this application at AFNHB registry will be reckoned as the date of withdrawal and all calculations of seniority, financial penalties etc will be based on this date as the datum.

(b)     The cancellation charges will be deducted in addition to the non-refundable administrative fee, and no interest will be paid on the amount paid by the Allottee till that time. Cancellation Charges will be as follows:-

Withdrawal - Where Waitlist Exists Officers Sailors / Airmen
(i)   After receipt of Registration Fees and Prior to issue of Allotment Letter
(ii)   Upto 45 Days after issue of Allotment Letter (Registry Date)
(iii)   All after (ii) above.

This rule will also apply to all registrants / allottees whose registration has been cancelled by the Board.

(c)   Withdrawal - Where no Waitlist Exists: Withdrawal is permitted if a waitlist exists and a waitlisted allottee steps into the vacancy likely to created by the withdrawal. However, in extreme compassionate grounds, (which require the approval of chairman) 10% of the total (latest announced) cost of the dwelling unit will be deducted as cancellation charges. Allottee is to certify vide Proforma at Appendix D & E within 45 days of registry of allotment letter he wishes to withdraw and will forego all rights on the dwelling unit. This rule will also apply to all registrants / allottees whose registration has been cancelled due to non-payment of installment.
